High Priest- To lead the coven in the direction he sees fit which includes providing: Outreach, Spiritual Counseling, Organizing Classes/Rituals/Holidays, Leading in Worship and Rituals, Reside over Handfastings/Funerals/Wiccanings, Maintain Membership Records, Working with the Community and other Wiccan/Pagan Groups, Balancing the Budget and Planning Events/Fundraisers.  The High Priest also maintains 1/3 of the vote in our democratic processes.  The High Priest is to also get a PhD in Metaphysics with a speciality in Para-Anthropology.

 

Spirit Elder- To provide balance to the OEL by assisting the High Priest in the areas he/she is directed.  This person serves as a backup, when in ritual, when another Elder is unable to come.  This allows us to have flexibility when calling the four corners in case one of the corners can't attend.  If the High Priest is unable to attend a function, ritual or event, the Spirit Elder is the one who will also take responsibility for the group and it's event/ritual.  The Spirit Elder is to also assist the High Priest with maintaining membership records and assisting with Elder Reviews.  The Spirit Elder is to also get a PhD in Metaphysics with a speciality in Metaphysical Science.  This training will allow the Spirit Elder to better serve the OEL in leadership and training.

 

Fire Elder- To provide safety and security to all members of the OEL when in ritual or at OEL events.  He/She will be in charge of all security and paranormal investigations in ritual, public events, classes and paranormal investigations provided to the public.  The Fire Elder also takes up the point to the South in ritual.  The Fire Elder is to also get a PhD in Metaphysics with a specialty in Paranormal Science.

 

Earth Elder- To provide stability to the OEL by taking care of all the financial needs of the coven and to also makes sure that the appropriate supplies are brought and reordered when they run out.  They also assist with fundraising ideas and events.  He/She will also be in charge of directing any and all types of holistic healing performed by OEL members and clergy.  The Earth Elder also takes up the point to the North in rituals.  The Earth Elder is to get a PhD in Metaphysics with a specialty in Holistic Healing.

 

Water Elder- To provide emotional support and serve as the offical Spiritual Counselor to members of the OEL.  They also make suggestions of providers when someone is in need of a mental health provider.  The Water Elder should be up to date on all community and social programs what will assist low income members of where to get help if needed.  He/She will also be in charge of all spiritual counseling and to make observations to direct the individual to needed services.  The Water Elder also takes up the point to the West in rituals.  The Water Elder is to get a PhD in Metaphysics with a specialty in Spiritual Counseling.

 

Wind Elder- To provide intellectual support and act as liaison to other churches and organizations.  The Wind Elder is to keep, maintain and submit any paperwork dealing with law and legal issues.  They also are the one who will contact and schedule vendors for various fundraisers and events.  He/She will also assist members by offering life couching which will assist them in many areas in their lives.  The Wind Elder also takes up the point to the East in rituals.  The Wind Elder is to get a PhD in Metaphysics with a specialty in Holistic Life Coaching.

 

Artificer Elder- To maintain and create the necessary holy artifacts of the OEL.  The Artificer Elder will be the 2rd person to take up vacant point left by the Fire, Earth, Water and Wind Elders if the Spirit Elder and is busy or unavailable.  The Artificer Elder will also lead any youth group activities and will be one of the leaders for the Spiral Scouts.  The Artificer Elder is to get a PhD in Metaphysics with a specialty in Ufology and is to assist in any investigations requiring this type of training.

 

Scribe Elder- To maintain and write the OEL's Book of Shadows (BOS) which should only be written in calligraphy and be artistic enough to also be able to draw installations.  The Scribe Elder will be the 3nd person to take up vacant points left by the Fire, Earth, Water and Wind Elders if either the Spirit or Artificer Elders are busy or unavailable.  The Scribe Elder will also lead any children's group activities and is to be one of the leaders of the Spiral Scouts.  The Scribe Elder is to get a PhD in Metaphysics with a specialty in Crytozoology and is to assist in any investigations requiring this type of training.

 

All the Elders, collectively, will vote on various issues which include member misconduct, accepting new members, determining if an individual should start as a higher rank, OEL bylaw changes and updates and assisting the High Priest in all other duties.  The majority vote of the Elders counts as 1/3 of the vote in our democratic processes.  In rare circumstances when the High Priest and the Majority vote of Elders are in disagreement then the final 1/3 of the vote will come from the member's of the OEL that have completed their 1st year and a day training.  Please see the OEL Bylaws for more detailed information about the OEL and how the OEL is ran.

 

(Note:  Spiral Scouts require a male and female leader and it is for this reason that the genders of the Artificer and Scribe Elder be of different sexs to do their job function.)
